What’s Your Why?

I went on radio to share why I wrote my new book and what I hope to achieve through it.

Every time I ask myself why I do what I do, I feel energised by the answers.

Every one of us needs a mission in life. Your mission could be anything that moves you to action: raising a loving family, pioneering an innovation, developing your community or leading an organisation, to name a few. Having said that, do you know why your mission matters to you? We can set many goals yet be unfulfilled if we lack clarity on our purpose.

I have strong personal convictions about building up our youth based on what I believe to be my God-given mission. Our developmental years are when we are most vulnerable to spiritual attack and mis-direction. As young people, we are taught to seek knowledge and to demonstrate our intelligence but we aren’t encouraged to seek wisdom. I stand in that gap to offer wisdom and to encourage emotional resilience so that our young people overcome any issues that may arise. Whatever threatens to de-rail us must not prevail.

Take a few minutes to listen to my interview on 702’s Literature Corner segment, and please share it with others who share my passion for youth development. Listen here:
